The Mac is Back

It used to be I could name all the members of KISS, The Replacements, The Who, Jane’s Addiction,  The Rolling Stones or AC/DC. Those days are gone. I can’t name the lead guitar player in KISS or The Replacements, I’m not sure who the bassist is in The Who or The Rolling Stones or Jane’s Addiction and now that Malcolm Young has left AC/DC I’ll never know the rhythm guitarist in the band.  Note: (Steve Young, Malcolm’s nephew will replace Malcom but I wouldn’t be able to pick him out of a lineup).

I’m not begrudging these bands at all .  I think it’s extremely important to keep their musical legacies alive and the best way to do that is to keep playing  the music.  The amazing this to me is the guys that are getting sick, quitting and/or dying are never the singers and/or songwriters.  What’s up with that?

In any case, it is good news  that Fleetwood Mac begins its tour this week with the original Rumors lineup.  Thanks for coming back Christine!
