Favorite music in War Films

Music in film can inspire, uplift, drag us down and draw tears to our eyes sometimes all in one scene and the best examples seem to be in war movies.  As a small salute to the men and women who have served their country I wanted to take a moment to thank our troops for helping to preserve our freedoms.  Here are five memorable moments of film, music, compassion and camaraderie.  Happy Veteran’s Day!

Malcolm Arnold “Bridge On The River Kwai”

Tim Buckley “Once I Was” from the movie “Coming Home”

Hans Zimmer “Black Hawk Down”

Creedence Clearwater Revival “Fortunate Son”

Four Tops “Sugar Pie Honey Bunch”

Aretha Franklin “Respect”

Beach Boys “Sloop John B”

From Forest Gump

Elmer Bernstein The Great Escape
