Here’s a couple of things to entertain you this weekend.
“What I Like About You“, Talking In Your Sleep, “One In A Million“. If you recognize those songs, you know they belong to The Romantics. They had three top 40 songs in the 80′s and then disappeared into pop history oblivion only to resurface this Saturday at Pershing Square in Downtown LA for a free show. Click on their awesome hair to get more info. Opening up, is a new band with a misspelled name (remember when bands did that?) called Suddyn.
Sunday, you can catch Beatles Tribute band, Ticket To Ride at Warner Center Park for a free show. According to this list, there are 127 working Beatles bands around the World. I think my favorite name is The Cheatles.
Of course I would be re-miss if I didn’t mention that Dolly Parton is bringing her good-natured backwoods act to The Hollywood Bowl for two shows on Friday and Saturday. You should go. Click on her picture for information.
