Well if you’re not in a movie theatre watching The Hunger Games and you’re over 30 you might find some entertainment available to you elsewhere.
This weekend the amazing Allen Stone hits the Troubadour for two shows. Both shows had been sold out for a while but some tickets for Saturday’s show just opened up. Get them now while you can. Next time he plays in LA it will probably be The Wiltern. Here’s Allen performing “Satisfaction” on the great radio station KEXP in Seattle
In case you prefer music that is more ethereal than soulful and you get your thrills from seeing laser lights and flying pigs may I recommend The Pink Floyd Experience. Roger Waters is coming in May to the LA Coliseum so it might be best to see it up close and a lot cheaper. The show is this Sunday at beautiful Orpheum Theatre in downtown LA. I just visited the Orpheum website and this weekend is filled with great acts so just camp out in Downtown this weekend.
Friday, The Magnetic Fields play a rare local show
Saturday is the always enlightening and charismatic Ani DiFranco.
