If you play your cards right due to the wonderful timing of Independence Day falling on a Wednesday you should be able to get at least four days off next week.
With that in mind, I’m listing things to do into next week. Enjoy!
Why not start your weekend off watching American dominate the English? I’m talking about the Independent Shakespeare Co. performing FREE performances of The Winter’s Tale this week. Next week they will take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Goldstar is offering up reserved seats for $4. Click on the photo for a full schedule.
Nothing more American than Baseball and Rock and Roll and on Friday the Dodgers combine the two on June 29 you can see the Dodgers take on the New York Mets. Buy tickets using this link and enter in the code “Living” and you’ll receive a FREE digital download of the latest Linkin Park CD “Living Things” Did I mention there will be fireworks immediately following the game? Hopefully the Dodgers will figure out how to score a run by Friday. As of this writing they haven’t scored in three straight games. The first time that’s happened since 1937. Also Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp are both injured so I hope you really like Linkin Park.
Don’t be fooled by the name The Greek Theatre. It’s as American as it comes and this weekend you can relive the 90′s on Friday with Everclear, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Lit and Marcy Playground and then relive the 80′s on Saturday with The B-52′s and Squeeze. Goldstar is also offering up discount tickets for the 90s show. Click on the picture of NSync to get the 90s tickets. Click on the picture of Olivia Newton John to get the 80s tickets.
On July 3rd, Cinespia is featuring the movie American blockbuster film Jurassic Park at The Hollywood Forever cemetary. Did I mention there will be fireworks after the movie? Click here for ticket and parking information.
Last, but certainly not least is Barry Manilow at The Hollywood Bowl from July 2-4. So be a Fanilow and click on the photo of Barry to get ticket info. I also believe there will be fireworks at the show.
