Record Store Day

Record Store Day 2014 is here!  Frankly, like Coachella it’s gotten a little out of control.  Much like I’d prefer to see bands in a club instead of with 50,000 people, I’d prefer to shop on my own time instead of waiting for a couple hours to get my purchase.

However, I am all for the promotion of record store shopping so I widely support this celebration for the independent record store.

There are exclusive releases, limited run/local only releases and early first releases available and they can all be found here.

These are my top picks from the exclusive releases:

??? SIDE BY SIDE SERIESI love surprises and the side by side series where two artists cover each other’s songs is always fun.

The same song performed by two “”mystery artists.”” Part of the Side By Side series from Rhino for Record Store Day 2014.
