I never really like the title of my Thursday posts aka “Weekend In LA” so I’ll now refer to them as “Get Out”. Please enjoy.
The first show will be a performance by Los Angeles indie-folk artist Lord Huron
And as always there will be a discussion before the show. Dig it!
Digging Snowmastodon: Discovering an Ice Age World in the Colorado Rockies” with Dr. Kirk Johnson
Go for the music, stay for the dioramas
And since this is no longer called Weekend In LA, I can tell you about a couple of things on weeknights.
My two recommendations are the Chris Douridas produced “It’s A School Night” every Monday night at Bardot. It’s always free with your RSVP. This week is the band (hard to Google search band) The Record Company.
Tuesday, January 8 would have been Elvis Presley’s 77th birthday and as always in LA, Art Fein celebrates the occasion with his 27th Elvis Birthday Bash at The Echo. It’s always a good time, you never know who’s going to show up and all proceeds go to The LA Mission. Elvis would want you to go to the show.
