Best. Thanksgiving movie. ever.

Some people would suggest that Planes, Trains & Automobiles is the choice but for my money it’s The Last Waltz.

Recorded on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1976 at The Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. I’ve made it an annual tradition to watch this brilliant concert film directed by Martin Scorsese about The Band’s final performance.  For a $25 ticket you got a turkey dinner and the greatest show of all time.

Cinefamily is living up to the family part in their name by recreating this event during their Rockvember celebration with a Thanksgiving dinner and a screening of the movie.

Click on the awesome photo of Neil Diamond to see him perform “Dry Your Eyes” from The Last Waltz.
