It’s true the world is a little less artistic without Leon Russell and Leonard Cohen in the world. Of course they’ve left us with quite a catalog of music and poetry for current and future generations to discover forever and ever.
Leon worked on many projects with George Harrison including performing at The Concert for Bangladesh. Here’s Leon’s version of “Beware of Darkness”. Leon kills it both vocally and on the piano.
I can’t agree with Leonard’s sentiment at the introduction to “Suzanne” that he’s happy someone stole the rights to the song but it’s still one of his finest compositions and it should have brought him riches.
